FATA EDUCATION FOUNDATION (FaEF) is an autonomous organization, created under the Presidential act, to deal with dismal state of education in the Federally Administered Tribal (FATA) areas of Pakistan. The vision of FaEF is to provide access to enabling education though strengthening public educational delivery system and public-private partnership with focus on marginalized and the disadvantaged. FaEF works as catalyst for provision of enabling education with the motto of creating learning opportunities. The notification for establishing the Foundation was issued in December, 2004. It gives me immense pleasure to appreciate the FaEF staffs who are working hard for promoting the worthy cause of education in FATA. Their efforts are especially praiseworthy as they are working in a very challenging work environment. Let me assure that their efforts will not go waste. To achieve its goals FaEF is constantly exploring new areas for intervention. It provides free quality education to talented and poor students 5 ATA in quality educational institutions, called Center of Excellence. It promotes model schools as bench market quality institutions in the area. It arranges quality training for the teachers and principals of schools and works for the improvement of infrastructure facilities in public and private schools. The Foundation is preparing for launching an ambit out public private partnership initiative that will have a far reaching impact on the quality, access and governance of private education the FATA. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for his commitment to the cause of FaEF and continuous support in realizing its vision. I hope that the website of FaEF will help to foster public understanding of our programs.
